Have you made it to Montana yet? You definitely want to visit! It has gorgeous vistas, lots of great small towns and several larger ones that quickly became favorites. I am looking forward to getting back to Bozeman. But my favorite area was the Flathead Valley. This area which includes Kalispell, Whitefish and Big Fork is home to the Flathead Lake and is close neighbors to Glacier National Park.
As we started to plan the 3rd annual Camp Carpe Diem, we couldn’t think of a better location to share than the Flathead Valley area. It includes all the things that we look for when planning this special event – superior hiking trails, excellent mountain biking opportunities, gorgeous settings to photograph and, of course, lots of tasty craft breweries. The fact that we know several people in the area and have relationships in the community certainly helps too!
We already have several great things lined up for the weekend and are excited to share the area with everyone. So excited, in fact, that we spoke with local residents and great people, Brittain Kovac and Josh Schukman. We first met Brit and Josh when they were full-time RVers, but they recently settled in the Flathead Valley area so we wanted to hear from them why this part of America and get the insiders view of the best spots. They make a compelling argument for why this area should be on your destination list.
Enjoy this show which premiers on May 9 at 7 p.m. CST. And if you have additional favorites in the Flathead area or anywhere in Montana, please leave a comment and let us know.
