I feel like I’m drowning in responsibility.
Anyone else? Please tell me I’m not the only one. Or maybe you’d prefer a more mild anology for your life… 90’s Paula Abdul? Two steps forward three steps back? Please tell me you know the song. Maybe? No? Here ya go.
Wow. My first paragraph of my first blog post and I’m already entirely off topic and sending you AWAY from my site. It all proves my point, though! Life has gotten messy. My house is messy. My hair is messy. You get the picture. It is way too easy to lose focus, to give our attention and time away to stuff that can never be grateful or return the favor.
So I say again, drowning! Of course I feel this way; each day has a “to-do list” of trivial errands, chores I ignore, and promises to people I barely like, and if that wasn’t enough, my cell phone is glued to my hand, constantly distracting me as if I had just adopted twin monkeys! Seriously though, hasn’t any one come up with a goo-gone for these things yet?
I refuse to be the lady some younger generation quotes as wishing she had lived more and cared less about what others thought. This blog is an attempt to show how I am getting out of the flood pattern of modern life and jumping into all that matters to me: family, service, and exploring this great big world of ours. If any of this resonates with you, I hope you join me as I journey into fulltime RV life and travel. And if you feel like you’re drowning too, let me be your lifesaver.
