Are you planning to stay in your rig during the holidays? Or do you just want some new recipes to use in the rig? Then we have a fun new series for you. During the week of Nov. 16 – 20, Alyssa Padgett, author of A Beginners Guide to Living in a RV, and Barb, aka RV Foodie Kitchen, will be sharing videos and recipes from RV neighbors such as RV Love, RV Geeks, Wandering Wagners and us at The Virtual Campground.
Both of these ladies love to cook (and eat!). Knowing that this Thanksgiving might look different for many folks who decide to camp instead of heading to family, Alyssa and Barb got the brilliant idea to put on a cooking show with recipes you can make in your rig. They pulled together RVers to share their holiday favorites and show how it is made. What builds community more than a shared experience over food?
The best part? This week of videos are FREE, no sales pitches, just sharing fun and great food. It is like watching your favorite Food Network show, just on Facebook and the chefs are in RVs! From appetizers to desserts, you will get tasty ideas and get to see into other people’s kitchens. What is more fun!
The schedule:
- Monday, 11/16: Appetizers and no-oven-needed recipes
- Tuesday, 11/17: Side dishes
- Wednesday, 11/18: Entrees
- Thursday, 11/19, AKA the best day: Desserts 😋
- Friday, 11/20: Snacks & Drinks
Plus, we want you to join in by submitting your own recipes to be included in the downloadable cookbook that they are putting together. Just register for the class to get reminders, learn more and get the link to submit your recipe by clicking here. This also gives you access to watch the shows after they air whenever you like.
We look forward to seeing you in the kitchen.
Bon Appetit!

I don’t know if they are still accepting them but can help you. We will be in chat tonight and can figure it out. Thanksgiving might look different for many folks who decide to camp instead of heading to family. Thank you for doing a cooking show! I will need to view later in the evening.. thank you for making that possible.

Debra, I followed the link to the page where you’re supposed to be able to submit recipes and for the life of me I can’t find anywhere to do that. Help! I don’t think this one will be in my spam folder.
