By now, we are all aware of the virus and have likely consumed a lot of news about COVID-19. Perhaps too much? At any rate, you know to wash your hands, don’t touch your face (easier said than done!) and keep to yourself. All of us have learned a lot in the past few days including we haven’t been washing our hands the right way. For RVers, Social isolation might be easier than for our sticks and bricks peers. We already work virtually and often go days with limited personal interaction. However, we still need to be aware and take steps to protect ourselves.
One key piece of information would be to make sure you are aware of any closures for campgrounds. We are hearing about a lot of state parks closing in light of the virus and some cancelling future reservations. So before you hit the road, be sure to check in with your campground as this is a quickly changing situation. Our friends at Rootless Living are keeping an update on State and National Park closures. You can visit their site HERE.
We will be sharing information on Facebook and want to hear from all of you as well. Be safe out there!

We were concerned about leaving the remote 10 acre property in Texas where we wintered and coming home to Michigan. It was fine., Most gas stations open, Found a couple glitches but not bad. Made it in 3 days. 2 overnights at KOA with reservations we made the day before. Seemed to be spacing people out and just being low key. Glad to be home in Michigan, but we are being very careful. Masks picked up tomorrow. Vet office got our Heart Gard stuff around and took payment on phone and left bag outside. Groceries are fine so may not go out again for a week. Concerned but not upset. Church as been broadcasting on YouTube or Facebook…planning on meeting later in the summer. We have 3 kids. One goes into work in Texas, wife works from home. Other son and daughter in law at home sheltering in place ..bank and manufacturing they work at closed. Other kid works from home, lots of work, but able to do Medical stuff online in office. When they go into work for a conference, must wear full attire to protect themselves and co-workers.
