Is Solar in Your Future?

September 10, 2022 By Debra Benton Leave a Comment

At some point, you will wonder if solar energy makes sense in your RV. Whether it is on a brand new purchase or after traveling for several years, solar might help your travels. Maybe you want to boondock more or maybe just run your generator less. Maybe you do a lot of monthly stays and want to pay less for electricity. At some point, it is worth exploring if it is right for you and whether you can install it yourself or hire an installer is better.

To help you decide, Barry Benton of The Virtual Campground, spoke with solar expert Dan Hemming of RVSolarConsulting.com to find out the right answer. In this multi-part series, Barry and Dan explore how to determine how much solar you need, the various components and how you can pull it all together. Whether you decide to do it yourself or to hire someone, you will gain valuable information to help you make the right decisions after watching.
