I know this site is all about RVing. And that’s great and RVing is awesome and everyone should try it out. But sometimes you need a break from camping. Or sometimes you want to go somewhere the RV can’t.
That’s where air travel comes in. Here are my top tips on saving money when you’re flying instead of driving, baby.
Sign up for flight alerts
Flights vary in price. What’s $500 one day could be a mere $200 the next. Stay on top of this by signing up for email or social media alerts and be ready to book when the deal you’ve been waiting for happens!
Just choose your destination or airport of choice using one of the following sites and get ready to save big:
Search and buy for tickets individually.
Even if you’re going with a party of 5, you need to follow this rule!
If you’re searching for 5 tickets but the airline only has 3 discounted seats, it’s not going to show you ANY because you need 5. Search individually, get those deals where you can, and make up the difference.
I promise this will save you money. Buying in bulk doesn’t save you money in the sky!
Use an incognito tab while looking up flights
This one is controversial, but I swear by it.
It never fails; I search for a ticket back home and suddenly by the end of the week, that ticket has somehow skyrocketed in price.
Use a private mode or incognito tab while searching so no one is saving cookies on you and you’re finding the real (and best) prices out there for airline travel!
